Good little Remington New Model Percussion Pocket Revolver in 31cal.
This is the Third Type which was made in all metal.
Serial number 7986. Oct barrel is with most of blue finish as is rammer
and has good rifling with a little pitting which may clean out better.
The frame is to nice brown patina with blue to hammer and top quality
grips with a small crack to one side (see pics) Nice condition and
working order.
Top of barrel marked- PATENTED SEPT 14 1858. MARCH 17 1863. E REMINGTON & SONS ILION NEW YORK USA. NEW MODEL.
These little revolvers are now getting very hard to find in original percussion.
