Fantastic little gun this. The Colt Pocket Navy Conversion in 38cal rimfire (obsolete)
Top of barrel marked in 2 lines- COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.Co / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.
Frame marked 2lines- PAT.JULY.25.1871 / PAT.JULY.2.1872
Serial number 2760 all matching. Made 1873-1880. quantity about 6,000.
Superb condition with all metal to bright patina with no pitting, most plate still on brass.
No barrel scene left. Very good grips.Bright bore in barrel with great rifling.
Action is working but need a little tunning as cylinder tends to slip.
This is a super collectors gun and it comes with holster which is period and looks original to gun.
Leather is a bit stiff and the belt strapps are missing, it has one 38cal rimfire bullet (inert)
This gun is known as the Pocket Navy Conversion but it was not converted it was made as 38 rimfire.
