This is a good Colt 1849 model pocket revolver.
6" octagonal barrel with small brass foresight,good one line barrel address "address COL SAML COLT.NEW YORK.US AMERICA" Good clean bore with strong rifleing.
6 shot .31 cylinder with all good nipples,serial number and traces of cylinder scene.
"COLTS PATENT"to left of frame, "31 CAL" to left of trigger guard.
Brass trigger guard and backstrap. Very good varnished walnut grips with about 95% varnish.
In good working order,tight barrel to frame fit,good action and lock up etc.
Finish to a grey/brown patina. Matching serial numbers.
Serial number dates to C.1866.
In good condition with good working action.
