I purchased this rifle many years ago with a view to restoring it, but ill health intervened. I feel sure that the stock and barrel pins/wedges aren't original, to my uneducated eye everything else is original to the gun.
The barrel is very nice and appears to have been originally flint as it features drum and nipple conversion. The barrel is signed S(amuel) Coldren, who was from Lancaster county Pennsylvania around the late 18 and early 19th century. The barrel looks around .40 calibre.
The lock is percussion and marked warranted. The triggers are double set as one might expect but do not operate at present. Overall I feel that this would be a worthwhile and interesting project that may prove lucrative especially if converted back to flint.
