This is an unusual deactivated saw handle flintlock target pistol.
Heavy 9" octagonal barrel of .45 bore. Adjustable in dovetails front and rear sights. Engraved on the top flat " P.G.Hutton, LONDON". and serial number.
Barrel on the hooked breech system by removing the wedge in the forend, load information stamped on underside of barrel.
Engraved steel lockplate, lock in good working order,sparks well.
Blued steel trigger guard with finger rest extension.
Good,probably walnut stock and forend,with horn butt cap and forend cap.
A high quality and expensive pistol in its day,sadly deactivated,but action in good working order. Overall 15".
