These are are a very good pair of English percussion pocket pistol by Smith of London.
2 1/2" turn off barrels,which are both free and do turn off! Approx .41 bore.
2 proof marks to the bottoms of each breech,the No. 48 to the bottom of each breech.
Engraved sideplates with "Smith" in an oval on the left sideplate, and "London" on the right.
Line engraving around the top plates and hammer shafts,star engraved on bottoms of trigger guards.
Good slab sided wooden butts.
Both pistols marked and engraved the same.
Both in very good condition,hardly used with virtually no wear, and good strong working actions. A tiny chip out of one hammer nose.
The case lined in green baize has been made to snugly hold the two pistols.
Approx 8" x 5" in good condition with lock and key,lock escucheon missing.
