This gun has seen a lot of action but is still in good working order.
Top of barrel marked PATENTED DEC 17 1861. MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS ILION NY. Worn but just about readable.
Early gun with serial number 1414 under barrel, rifling there but
pitted. May clean out better. Only about 6,000 were made, this one has
been fitted for stock.
Replacement cylinder pin, nipples are good, very nice grips, bad
pitting on one side of rammer. Good action with very strong spring.
It is what it is a very early gun with lots of use and its cheap.
