MAUSER MODEL 71/84 RIFLE
BOLT ACTION WITH MAGAZINE IN STOCK
CALIBRE: 11mm Mauser also know as 11.15 X 60R Mauser and know as .43 Mauser in the USA! Obsolete, no licence needed.
Made 1887 at the Danzig Arsenal.
Unit marked on butt. 4 R 12 21
This is one outstanding 71/84 Mauser, it is in superb condition, the blue on this gun is almost all on the gun with light thinning and browning over the years but is at 95% at least! Even the butt has the original blue.
The wood is also excellent with cartouches on the right side of the stock.
The bolt and reciver are finished in the original 'In the white' or in other words no finish, it has not been cleaned or scrubbed in any way, it is just as it left the factory!
All markings and stamps are crisp and perfect. No screwhead has been touched and all the ones that where originally nickeld hold all their nickel.
The action is tight as a nut like it was when new and perfect, everything is tight. The bore is excellent with deep rifling.
EVERY SINGLE PART ON THIS GUN IS MATCHING NUMBERS STAMPED, (NUMBER: 8378) including the sights, barrel bands, every screw head, strap rings e.t.c e.t.c. and there are allot of parts numberd on this gun and all are the same.
This Mauser was a real rack queen. It can't have ever been used much. There is no pitting anywhere on the gun, just a light few bumps on the wood. It really is superb and the best 71/84 Mauser i have seen.
Few unit marked guns like this can be found these days, most are making their way back to Germany to collectors there. This one is also from the Danzig arsenal, the contested city of Germany and Poland, is it is from a historically tense area of the world!
If you are looking for an almost as new Mauser rifle then here it is, i doubt you will find better. Simply superb and all original. If you want to put this on your licence you can do that and just go and shoot, this needs nothing! This gun looks like new.
Many thanks for looking, any questions are welcome.
