DALY ARMS CO New York, made in Belgium-pre-1893 (Made 1888 to 1893).
6 shot fluted cylinder
Single and Double action
Caliber: .32 Rimfire (obsolete, no licence needed)
2 3/4 inch round barrel
This is a very interesting revolver, it has the Belgiam proofmark U with crown and the pre-1893 Leige mark (ELG in an oval). Has Daly Arms Co NY stamped on the side of the barrel before the nickel finish was applied. Daly was a well know New York Distributor of European made firearms. They where best know for the European shotguns they imported forsale, but it is rare to find an imported revolver with their name! They took over the the well know NY John P. Moore company in 1888. With this revolver having pre-1893 Leige marks it places it as made from 1888 to 1893.
The revolver has Excellent original nickel finish, just about 99% remains, all original gun and original wood grips in excellent condition.
The action works in both single and double action but the cylinder only cycles when the gun is pointed towards the ground! Not sure why it won't turn when level, possibly a weak spring!
The chambers are all excellent on this gun and the bore is very good too, shiney with just a few light spots in the bore.
Quite a an unusual and rare to find open top revolver.
Many thanks for looking, any questions are welcome.
