This is a good de activated Lebel or Model d'ordonnance French service revolver, in much use during the 1st and 2nd World wars.
4 1/2" barrel with 3 top flats and the underside round, foresight and frame V rearsight. Top flat engraved "Mre 1892" Right flat engraved "S1897". Left flat engraved "J and B " in circles.
6 shot 8mm fluted cylinder released by loading gate latch, swivels to right for loading. Manual star ejector worked by central pushrod/cylinder pin.
Frame with plenty of original finish,engraved on right"Mre d'armes,St Etienne" . Serial number under cylinder.
Very good chequered wooden grips,steel butt cap with lanyard ring.
In good condition with good working action.
Comes with leather flap holster,probably no original to the gun as a bit big.
Holster in good condition, enscribed on back"Capt Curzion W, RE".
