This is a very nice and scarce Remington rimfire revolver.
Top of barrel marked- E.REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y.
The back strap is engraved- THE MOLSONS BANK and would have been used
by the bank guards. A very early model with serial number 22. About
20,000 were made 1877-1888 most of which were in 38cal rimfire and only
about 20% of these were in 41cal rimfire. Good barrel rifling and in
good working order. About 30% nickel in tact.
